Venchi is committed to environmental sustainability, responsible
sourcing and an increasingly transparent value chain, with the
aim of having 100% of its chocolate products certified by the Rainforest Alliance
by 2025. The Rainforest Alliance is an independent NGO dedicated to preserving
biodiversity, combating climate change and protecting the rights of workers and
communities throughout the cocoa supply chain. This certification reflects Venchi's

Rainforest Alliance certification is built on four key pillars: Internal wrapping re-cycle in paper

• BIODIVERSITY: Safeguarding forests and biodiversity is critical for absorbing
CO2 and providing oxygen, which are essential to the well-being of our planet. This
also includes maintaining nutrient-rich soil and a healthy ecosystem.
• CLIMATE CHANGE: Proper forest management is vital in the fight against

climate change as it helps reduce CO2 emissions. This, in turn, can help mitigate Wrapping re-cycle in aluminium
extreme weather events like floods and droughts.
• LIVELIHOODS: Supporting local communities is an essential part of any
sustainable supply chain. The Rainforest Alliance combats poverty in rural areas by
ensuring decent wages for farmers, forest communities and indigenous people.
• HUMAN RIGHTS: Tackling human rights violations—such as forced labour, child

Venchi's commitment to obtaining this certification highlights the importance of
external validation when it comes to sustainability. This comprehensive approach
not only benefits the environment but supports the well-being of workers and
communities involved in cocoa production.
